Abraham Quiring wurde geboren den 6. Mrz 1889 in McPherson County, Kansas. Hier
geno er eine christliche Erziehung im Elternhaus und in der Schule. Am 30. Mai
1909 wurde er auf das Bekenntnis seines Glaubens von Aeltester Abraham Ratzlaff
getauft und in die Alexanderwohl Gemeinde aufgenommen. Am 24. Oktober 1912 trat
er in die Ehe mit Sarah Buller, die Trauhandlung vollzog Rev. P. H. Unruh. Ihnen
wurden 4 Kinder geboren wovon 2 starben. 1928 erkrankte er ernstlich und nahm
sein Leiden stetig zu bis er zuletzt ganz hilflos wurde, soda ihm in den
letzten 4 Jahren die Speise dargereicht werden mute. Er hat sein Leiden mit
groer Geduld getragen und starb im festen Glauben, da auch fr ihn die
Wohnungen im Himmel bereit seien. Am 9. Feb. vor 9 Uhr morgens schlug die
Stunde seiner Auflsung. Er hat ein Alter erreicht von 54 J. 11 M. und 2 Tage.
Er hinterlt seine tiefbetrbte Gattin und Kinder: Rose, Mrs. Jacob Wedel,
Canton, Kansas; Mildred, Mrs. Paul Quiring, Lyndon, Kansas; zwei Schwiegershne,
3 Grokinder, 3 Schwestern, 2 Brder und viele Freunde. Beim Begrbnis dienten
Pred. C. C. Wedel, Text, Hiob 7:1 - 4 und Edwin Stucky, Text, Offb. 14:13.

Rosa A. Quiring, 77, 3055 Ivy Drive in North Newton, homemaker, died Wednesday
(Feb. 10, 1999) at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North Newton.
She was born July 15, 1921, in Gotebo, Okla., to David H. and Helena (Reimer)
Goertz. She married Ralph F. Quiring Sept. 6, 1942, in Pasadena, Calif. He
survives of North Newton.
She was a member of Goessel Mennonite Church. She was a 1940 graduate of Goessel
High School.
Other survivors include: two sons, Donald K. Quiring of Folsom, Pa., and David
M. Quiring of Liberal; one daughter, Patricia S. Apperson of Phoenix; one
sister, Velma Dyck of Buhler; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her parents and two sisters, Ella Krause and Nora Daubert.
Graveside services were Saturday at Goessel Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial
services were Saturday at Goessel Mennonite Church with Pastor Kevin Goertzen
officiating.
Memorials have been established with Mennonite Heritage Museum in Goessel in
care of the funeral home.
