Individual Note: Charles Lloyd "Charlie" Quiring, 76, died Oct. 4, 1998, at his home in Newton.
He was born Jan. 7, 1922, at Goessel, the son of Henry and Helen (Lehrman)
Quiring.
He enlisted in the Air Force in September 1942 and served for the duration of
the war. He received the American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.
On Oct. 8, 1946, he married Dorothy Mae Lipps in Newton.
He worked as a meat cutter and retired from Dillons after 25 years. He was a
member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
